Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Newton Motion-Matic Solutions (“Newton,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit newtonmatic.com (the “Website”), request a quote, place an order, or otherwise interact with us online or offline (together, our “Services”). It also explains the rights and choices available to you, including rights under California and other U.S. state privacy laws.

Please read this Policy together with our Terms and Conditions. By using our Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

Information We Collect

“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household. We collect it in three ways.

Information you give us

You provide personal information when you complete a contact or quote form, email or call us, request samples, place an order, or meet us at trade shows or customer meetings. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, mailing, billing and shipping addresses, and details about the products or custom gas springs you need.

If you upload or send specifications, drawings, CAD files, or photos, these may contain personal or business information. We use them only to review your request, prepare quotes, and fulfill your project.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our Website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from logistics providers, distributors, analytics providers, and business contacts who refer you to us, as needed to provide our Services.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, health information, or precise geolocation. Please do not send us this type of information.

Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, understand how visitors use it, and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

  • Campaign cookies: when you arrive from an advertisement or email link, we store campaign details (such as source, medium, and campaign name) in first-party cookies for up to 90 days. This lets us understand which campaigns lead to enquiries.
  • Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics to analyze traffic and improve the Website. It collects information such as device type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. You can learn how Google uses this information here and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Embedded maps: our Contact page may display an embedded Google Map, which allows Google to collect information about your device in line with Google’s Privacy Policy.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Website work.

Global Privacy Control: where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information associated with that browser. Do Not Track: there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, so our Website does not currently respond to them.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, and provide engineering and customer support.
  • Process, manufacture, ship, and invoice orders, and manage warranties and returns.
  • Send transactional messages about your quotes, orders, and deliveries.
  • Send product news and offers that may be relevant to your business (you can opt out at any time).
  • Operate, analyze, secure, and improve our Website and Services.
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

When you give us information to complete a specific request, such as a quote or order, we use it for that purpose. We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without notifying you and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, form processing (for example, FormSubmit, which delivers our website form submissions by email), email, analytics, payment processing, and shipping and logistics companies.
  • Manufacturing partners, where needed to produce samples or fulfill your order. We share only the technical and delivery details they require.
  • Legal and safety reasons: with regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our customers or others.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer to the new owner under this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We require our service providers to keep personal information confidential and secure and to use it only to provide services to us.

Under some state laws, including California’s, allowing analytics or advertising cookies to collect information on our Website may count as a “sale” or “sharing” (for cross-context behavioral advertising). You can opt out as described in Your U.S. Privacy Rights.

California “Shine the Light”

California residents may request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Marketing Emails

If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send transactional messages about your quotes and orders.

Children’s Privacy

Our Website and Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will promptly delete it.

Our Website may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will provide notice before they take effect, for example by email or a prominent notice on our Website.
